How to change email address on mail

To change your email address on Mail (the default email app on Macs), follow these steps:

Method 1: Change Email Address from Mail Preferences

  1. Open Mail on your Mac.
  2. Click on "Mail" in the top menu bar and select "Preferences" (or use the keyboard shortcut Command + comma).
  3. Click on the "Accounts" tab.
  4. Select your email account from the list of accounts on the left side of the window.
  5. Click on the "Edit" button next to your email address.
  6. Enter your new email address in the "Email Address" field.
  7. Click "OK" to save the changes.

Method 2: Change Email Address from Account Settings

  1. Open Mail on your Mac.
  2. Click on the "Mail" menu in the top menu bar and select "Account Settings" (or use the keyboard shortcut Command + comma).
  3. Select your email account from the list of accounts on the left side of the window.
  4. Click on the "Account Information" tab.
