How to change google mail phone number
To change your phone number associated with your Google Mail (Gmail) account, follow these steps:
Method 1: Change phone number through Google Account settings
- Sign in to your Google Account on a computer.
- Click on the profile picture or icon in the top right corner, then select "My Account" from the dropdown menu.
- Scroll down to the "Sign-in & security" section.
- Click on "Phone" under the "Sign-in options" section.
- Click on the "Edit" button next to "Phone number".
- Enter your new phone number and click "Save".
Method 2: Change phone number through Gmail settings
- Sign in to your Gmail account on a computer.
- Click on the gear icon in the top right corner, then select "See all settings".
- Scroll down to the "Accounts and Import" tab.
- Click on "Other" under the "Send mail as" section.
- Click on the "Edit" button next to "Phone number".
- Enter your new phone number and click "Save Changes".
Method 3: Change phone number through Google Voice
If you have a Google Voice number associated with your Gmail account, you can change it through the Google Voice settings:
- Sign in to your Google Voice account on a computer.
- Click on the gear icon in the top right corner, then select "Settings".
- Scroll down to the "Phone number" section.
- Click on the "Edit" button next to "Phone number".
- Enter your new phone number and click "Save".
Note: Changing your phone number associated with your Gmail account may affect any two-factor authentication (2FA) settings you have set up. You may need to re-configure 2FA after changing your phone number.
