How to change your email on the mail app
To change your email account on the Mail app on your iPhone or iPad, follow these steps:
Method 1: Change Email Account Settings
- Open the Mail app on your device.
- Tap on the "Mailboxes" tab at the bottom of the screen.
- Tap on the "Edit" button in the top-right corner of the screen.
- Tap on the email account you want to change.
- Tap on "Account" or "Account Info" (depending on the version of iOS you're using).
- Tap on "Account Settings" or "Manage Account".
- Tap on "Account" or "Email Address" and enter your new email address.
- Tap "Save" or "Done" to save the changes.
Method 2: Remove and Re-Add Email Account
- Open the Mail app on your device.
- Tap on the "Mailboxes" tab at the bottom of the screen.
- Tap on the email account you want to change.
- Tap on "Edit" in the top-right corner of the screen.
- Tap on the "Delete Account" button.
- Confirm that you want to delete the account by tapping "Delete" again.
- Go back to the Mailboxes screen and tap on "Add Account".
- Select the type of email account you want to add (e.g. iCloud, Gmail, Exchange, etc.).
- Enter your new email address and follow the prompts to set up the account.
