How to create windows live mail account
Windows Live Mail is a discontinued email client, but I can guide you through the process of creating a Windows Live Mail account, which is essentially a Hotmail account. Here's how:
Note: Hotmail has been replaced by Outlook.com, but you can still create a new account using the same process.
Step 1: Go to the Outlook.com sign-up page
Open a web browser and navigate to the Outlook.com sign-up page: www.outlook.com.
Step 2: Click on "Create account"
Click on the "Create account" button at the top right corner of the page.
Step 3: Enter your personal information
Fill out the required information, including:
- First name
- Last name
- Email address (choose a unique and memorable address)
- Password (choose a strong and unique password)
- Birthday
- Gender
- Country or region
Step 4: Enter your Microsoft account information
You'll need to create a Microsoft account to use Windows Live Mail. Fill out the required information, including:
- Email address (same as the one you entered in Step 3)
- Password (same as the one you entered in Step 3)
- Security question and answer
Step 5: Verify your account
You'll receive an email from Microsoft to verify your account. Open the email and click on the verification link to activate your account.
Step 6: Set up your account
Once your account is verified, you'll be prompted to set up your account. You can add a profile picture, set up your account language, and choose your notification preferences.
Step 7: Download and install Windows Live Mail
To use Windows Live Mail, you'll need to download and install the software. You can do this by visiting the Microsoft website and searching for "Windows Live Mail download".
Step 8: Sign in to Windows Live Mail
Once you've installed Windows Live Mail, sign in with your Outlook.com email address and password to access your email account.
That's it! You now have a Windows Live Mail account, which is essentially a Hotmail account. You can use this account to send and receive emails, as well as access other Microsoft services like Outlook.com and OneDrive.
