How to delete all mail in mail app
To delete all emails in the Mail app on your device, you can follow these steps:
For iOS devices (iPhone, iPad, iPod touch):
- Open the Mail app.
- Tap on the "Edit" button in the top-right corner of the screen.
- Tap on "Select All" at the top of the screen.
- Tap on the "Trash" button at the bottom of the screen.
- Confirm that you want to delete all selected messages by tapping "Delete" in the pop-up dialog.
Alternatively, you can also delete all emails by:
- Opening the Mail app.
- Tapping on the "Mailboxes" tab at the bottom of the screen.
- Tapping on the "Edit" button in the top-right corner of the screen.
- Tapping on "Select All" at the top of the screen.
- Tapping on the "Delete" button at the bottom of the screen.
- Confirm that you want to delete all selected messages by tapping "Delete" in the pop-up dialog.
For Android devices:
- Open the Mail app.
- Tap on the "Menu" button (usually three vertical dots) in the top-right corner of the screen.
- Tap on "Select all" or "Select all conversations" (depending on the app version).
- Tap on the "Delete" button.
- Confirm that you want to delete all selected messages by tapping "Delete" in the pop-up dialog.
For Outlook app (Windows, macOS, iOS, Android):
- Open the Outlook app.
- Go to the "Inbox" folder.
- Select all emails by pressing Ctrl+A (Windows) or Command+A (macOS) or by tapping and holding on an email and then tapping "Select all" on the context menu.
- Right-click (Windows) or Control-click (macOS) on the selected emails and choose "Delete" or press the Delete key.
- Confirm that you want to delete all selected messages by clicking "Yes" in the pop-up dialog.
Note: Before deleting all emails, make sure you have backed up your emails or have a way to recover them in case you need to.
