How to delete mail in gmail permanently

To permanently delete an email in Gmail, you can follow these steps:

Method 1: Using the "Trash" folder

  1. Log in to your Gmail account.
  2. Click on the "Trash" folder in the left-hand menu.
  3. Find the email you want to permanently delete and check the box next to it.
  4. Click on the "Empty Trash" button at the top of the page.
  5. Confirm that you want to permanently delete the email by clicking "OK" in the pop-up window.

Method 2: Using the "Bin" icon

  1. Log in to your Gmail account.
  2. Find the email you want to permanently delete and hover over it.
  3. Click on the "Bin" icon (a trash can) that appears next to the email.
  4. Confirm that you want to permanently delete the email by clicking "OK" in the pop-up window.

Method 3: Using the "More" menu

  1. Log in to your Gmail account.
  2. Find the email you want to permanently delete and click on the three vertical dots at the top right corner of the email.
  3. Click on "More" from the dropdown menu.
  4. Select "Delete forever" from the menu.

Note: When you delete an email in Gmail, it is moved to the "Trash" folder initially. It remains there for 30 days before it is permanently deleted. If you want to recover an email that you deleted accidentally, you can do so within 30 days by going to the "Trash" folder and clicking on the "Restore" button next to the email.
