How to delete wrongly forwarded unread mails in gmail

The frustration of accidentally forwarding an email and then realizing it was a mistake!

To delete wrongly forwarded unread emails in Gmail, you can follow these steps:

Method 1: Using the Gmail search bar

  1. Log in to your Gmail account.
  2. Click on the search bar at the top of the page.
  3. Type the following search query: in:inbox is:unread is:forwarded
  4. Press Enter to execute the search.
  5. This will show you all unread emails that have been forwarded to you.
  6. Select the emails you want to delete by checking the boxes next to them.
  7. Click on the "Bulk actions" dropdown menu at the top of the page.
  8. Select "Delete forever" to delete the selected emails.

Method 2: Using Gmail's filters

  1. Log in to your Gmail account.
  2. Click on the gear icon in the upper right corner of the page.
  3. Select "See all settings" from the dropdown menu.
