Mailchimp's MailPoet plugin allows you to export your email subscribers to a CSV file, which can then be imported into Microsoft Excel or other spreadsheet software. Here's how to do it:
Method 1: Exporting subscribers from MailPoet
- Log in to your WordPress dashboard and navigate to MailPoet > Subscribers.
- Click on the "Export" button at the top right corner of the page.
- Choose the export format as "CSV" and select the columns you want to export (e.g., email address, name, etc.).
- Click on the "Export" button to download the CSV file.
Method 2: Exporting subscribers from the MailPoet settings
- Log in to your WordPress dashboard and navigate to MailPoet > Settings.
- Scroll down to the "Export" section.
- Click on the "Export subscribers" button.
- Choose the export format as "CSV" and select the columns you want to export (e.g., email address, name, etc.).
- Click on the "Export" button to download the CSV file.
Importing the CSV file into Excel
- Open Microsoft Excel or your preferred spreadsheet software.
- Click on "File" > "Open" and select the CSV file you exported from MailPoet.
- Excel will import the file and create a new spreadsheet with the subscriber data.
- You can now manipulate the data, create charts, and perform other analysis tasks.
Tips:
- Make sure to select the correct columns to export, as this will determine the structure of your CSV file.
- If you have a large number of subscribers, you may want to consider exporting them in batches to avoid overwhelming your spreadsheet software.
- You can also use other export formats, such as JSON or XML, if needed.
