How to link gmail to iphone mail
To link your Gmail account to the iPhone's Mail app, follow these steps:
Method 1: Using IMAP
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
- Scroll down and tap on "Mail, Contacts, Calendars".
- Tap on "Add Account".
- Select "Other" and then "Add Mail Account".
- Enter your name, email address, and password.
- Tap "Next" and then select "IMAP" as the account type.
- Enter the following IMAP settings:
- Host Name: imap.gmail.com

- Port: 993

Method 2: Using POP
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
- Scroll down and tap on "Mail, Contacts, Calendars".
- Tap on "Add Account".
- Select "Other" and then "Add Mail Account".
- Enter your name, email address, and password.
- Tap "Next" and then select "POP" as the account type.
- Enter the following POP settings:
- Host Name: pop.gmail.com
- User Name: your Gmail address
- Password: your Gmail password
- Port: 995
- Tap "Next" and then "Save".
- Go back to the "Mail, Contacts, Calendars" screen and tap on your Gmail account.
- Tap on "Account" and then "Advanced".
- Under "Incoming Mail Server", make sure "POP" is selected.
- Under "Outgoing Mail Server", select "SMTP" and enter the following settings:
- Host Name: smtp.gmail.com
- User Name: your Gmail address
- Password: your Gmail password
- Port: 587
Note: If you're using 2-Step Verification (2SV) with your Gmail account, you'll need to generate an App Password and use it instead of your regular password.
