How to make a group in mail
To create a group in Gmail, follow these steps:
Method 1: Create a group using the Gmail web interface
- Log in to your Gmail account.
- Click on the gear icon () in the upper right corner of the page.
- Select "See all settings" from the dropdown menu.
- Scroll down to the "General" tab.
- Click on the "Create a new group" button.
- Enter a name for your group in the "Group name" field.
- Add the email addresses of the people you want to include in the group by separating them with commas.
- Click "Create" to create the group.
Method 2: Create a group using the Gmail mobile app
- Open the Gmail app on your mobile device.
- Tap the three horizontal lines () in the top left corner of the screen.
- Tap "Settings" from the menu.
- Scroll down to the "Groups" section.
- Tap "Create group".
- Enter a name for your group in the "Group name" field.
- Add the email addresses of the people you want to include in the group by separating them with commas.
- Tap "Create" to create the group.
How to use a group in Gmail
Once you've created a group, you can use it to send emails to all the members of the group at once. Here's how:
- Compose a new email as you normally would.
- In the "To" field, start typing the name of your group.
- As you type, Gmail will suggest the group name and the email addresses of the group members.
- Select the group name from the dropdown menu.
- Add any additional recipients or attachments as needed.
- Click "Send" to send the email to all the members of the group.
Note: When you send an email to a group, the email will be sent to each individual member of the group, and each member will receive a separate copy of the email.
