How to make mailing list on outlook
To create a mailing list in Outlook, you can follow these steps:
Method 1: Create a Contact Group
- Open Outlook and go to the "Contacts" folder.
- Click on the "Home" tab in the ribbon.
- Click on the "New Contact Group" button in the "Move" group.
- Enter a name for your contact group in the "Name" field.
- Click on the "Add Members" button.
- Select the contacts you want to add to the group from your contact list or search for them using the "Find" feature.
- Click "OK" to add the contacts to the group.
- Click "Save & Close" to save the contact group.
Method 2: Create a Distribution List
- Open Outlook and go to the "Contacts" folder.
- Click on the "Home" tab in the ribbon.
- Click on the "New Distribution List" button in the "Move" group.
- Enter a name for your distribution list in the "Name" field.
- Click on the "Add Members" button.
- Select the contacts you want to add to the list from your contact list or search for them using the "Find" feature.
- Click "OK" to add the contacts to the list.
- Click "Save & Close" to save the distribution list.
Method 3: Create a Mailing List using a CSV File
- Open Outlook and go to the "Contacts" folder.
- Click on the "Home" tab in the ribbon.
- Click on the "Import/Export" button in the "Move" group.
- Select "Export to a file" and choose "Comma Separated Values (CSV)" as the file format.
- Select the contacts you want to export and click "Export".
- Open the CSV file in a text editor or spreadsheet program and add the email addresses of the contacts you want to add to the mailing list.
- Save the CSV file.
- Go back to Outlook and click on the "Home" tab in the ribbon.
- Click on the "New Contact Group" button in the "Move" group.
- Click on the "Import" button and select the CSV file you just created.
- Click "OK" to add the contacts to the group.
Sending an Email to a Mailing List
- Open Outlook and compose a new email.
- In the "To" field, enter the name of your contact group or distribution list.
- Outlook will automatically expand the group to include all the contacts in the list.
- Enter the subject and body of the email as usual.
- Click "Send" to send the email to all the contacts in the list.
Note: Make sure that the contacts in your mailing list have a valid email address and that you have permission to send them emails.
