How to move mails to folder in outlook
There are several ways to move emails to a folder in Outlook:
Method 1: Drag and Drop
- Open Outlook and navigate to the folder where you want to move the email.
- Select the email you want to move by checking the box next to it.
- Drag the selected email to the desired folder.
- Release the mouse button to drop the email into the folder.
Method 2: Right-Click and Move
- Open Outlook and navigate to the folder where you want to move the email.
- Select the email you want to move by right-clicking on it.
- From the context menu, select "Move" or "Move to Folder".
- In the "Move Items" dialog box, select the folder you want to move the email to.
- Click "OK" to move the email.
Method 3: Use the "Move" Button
- Open Outlook and navigate to the folder where you want to move the email.
- Select the email you want to move by checking the box next to it.
- Click the "Move" button in the "Home" tab of the ribbon.
- In the "Move Items" dialog box, select the folder you want to move the email to.
- Click "OK" to move the email.
Method 4: Use the "Quick Steps" Feature
- Open Outlook and navigate to the folder where you want to move the email.
- Select the email you want to move by checking the box next to it.
- Click the "Quick Steps" button in the "Home" tab of the ribbon.
- In the "Quick Steps" dialog box, select the "Move to Folder" option.
- In the "Move Items" dialog box, select the folder you want to move the email to.
- Click "OK" to move the email.
Method 5: Use the "Rules" Feature
- Open Outlook and navigate to the "File" tab.
- Click "Options" and then click "Mail".
- Click the "Rules" button.
- Click "New Rule" and select "Move messages from someone to a folder".
- In the "Rules and Alerts" dialog box, select the folder you want to move the email to.
- Click "OK" to create the rule.
Note: You can also use keyboard shortcuts to move emails to a folder. For example, you can press "Ctrl+Shift+V" to move an email to a folder.
