How to read muted mails

The frustration of muted emails!

When you mute an email thread or conversation, you're essentially telling your email client to automatically archive or hide future emails related to that thread. This can be helpful when you're part of a large group email or a long conversation that's no longer relevant to you.

To read muted emails, you'll need to unmute the thread or conversation. Here's how to do it in popular email clients:

Gmail

  1. Log in to your Gmail account.
  2. Click on the "More" menu (three vertical dots) next to the email thread you want to unmute.
  3. Select "Unmute" from the dropdown menu.

Microsoft Outlook

  1. Log in to your Outlook account.
  2. Open the email thread you want to unmute.
  3. Click on the "More" menu (three dots) next to the email thread.
  4. Select "Unsubscribe" from the dropdown menu. This will unmute the thread and allow you to see future emails related to it.

Apple Mail

  1. Log in to your Apple Mail account.
  2. Open the email thread you want to unmute.
  3. Click on the "Mail" menu at the top of the screen.
  4. Select "Unsubscribe" from the dropdown menu.

Yahoo Mail

  1. Log in to your Yahoo Mail account.
  2. Open the email thread you want to unmute.
  3. Click on the "More" menu (three dots) next to the email thread.
  4. Select "Unsubscribe" from the dropdown menu.

Other email clients

If you're using a different email client, the process may vary. Check your client's documentation or settings to see how to unmute an email thread.

Remember that unmuted emails will start appearing in your inbox again, so be prepared to deal with any new messages related to the thread.
