How to recall an email in mail app

To recall an email in the Mail app on your iPhone or iPad, you can follow these steps:

Method 1: Using the "Undo Send" feature (if available)

  1. Open the Mail app and go to the "Sent" folder.
  2. Find the email you want to recall and swipe left on it.
  3. Tap "Undo Send" if it's available. This feature is only available for a short period after sending the email.

Method 2: Using the "Recall" feature (if available)

  1. Open the Mail app and go to the "Sent" folder.
  2. Find the email you want to recall and swipe left on it.
  3. Tap "Recall" if it's available. This feature is only available for emails sent to recipients within your organization (e.g., work email).

Method 3: Using the "Edit" feature

  1. Open the Mail app and go to the "Sent" folder.
  2. Find the email you want to recall and swipe left on it.
  3. Tap "Edit" to open the email in edit mode.
  4. Make any changes you want to the email, such as deleting the content or adding a new message.
  5. Tap "Send" to send the revised email.

Method 4: Using the "Move to" feature

  1. Open the Mail app and go to the "Sent" folder.
  2. Find the email you want to recall and swipe left on it.
  3. Tap "Move to" and select a folder, such as "Trash" or "Junk".
  4. The email will be moved to the selected folder, effectively "recalling" it.

Note: The "Recall" feature is not available for all email providers, and even if it is, it may not work for all types of emails (e.g., emails sent to external recipients). Additionally, the "Undo Send" feature may not be available for all emails, and even if it is, it may only be available for a short period after sending the email.
