How to recall mail in outlook app
To recall a message in the Outlook app, follow these steps:
Method 1: Using the "Recall This Message" feature
- Open the Outlook app and go to the "Inbox" folder.
- Find the message you want to recall and swipe left on it.
- Tap "More" and then "Recall This Message".
- Select the reason for recalling the message (e.g., "The message was sent in error").
- Choose whether you want to delete the message from the recipient's mailbox or just move it to the "Deleted Items" folder.
- Tap "Recall" to send the recall request.
Method 2: Using the "Edit & Resend" feature
- Open the Outlook app and go to the "Inbox" folder.
- Find the message you want to recall and swipe left on it.
- Tap "More" and then "Edit & Resend".
- Make the necessary changes to the message (e.g., delete the message or add a new subject line).
- Tap "Send" to send the revised message.
Important notes:
- The "Recall This Message" feature only works if the recipient has not yet opened the message.
- The "Edit & Resend" feature allows you to make changes to the message, but it will not recall the original message from the recipient's mailbox.
- If you're using Outlook.com, you may need to use the "Recall This Message" feature to recall a message, as the "Edit & Resend" feature is not available.
- If you're using an Exchange account, you may need to use the "Recall This Message" feature to recall a message, as the "Edit & Resend" feature is not available.
