How to remove email address from apple mail app

To remove an email address from the Apple Mail app on your Mac or iOS device, follow these steps:

On a Mac:

  1. Open the Apple Mail app.
  2. Click on the "Mail" menu and select "Preferences" (or use the keyboard shortcut Command + Comma).
  3. In the Preferences window, click on the "Accounts" tab.
  4. Select the email account you want to remove the address from.
  5. Click on the "Edit" button next to the "Account Information" section.
  6. Click on the "Remove" button next to the email address you want to remove.
  7. Confirm that you want to remove the email address by clicking "Remove" again.

On an iOS device:

  1. Open the Apple Mail app.
  2. Tap on the "Mailboxes" tab at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Tap on the email account you want to remove the address from.
  4. Tap on the "Edit" button in the top-right corner of the screen.
  5. Tap on the "Account" button.
  6. Tap on the "Remove" button next to the email address you want to remove.
  7. Confirm that you want to remove the email address by tapping "Remove" again.

Note: If you're trying to remove an email address that's associated with an iCloud or Exchange account, you may need to remove the account entirely instead of just the email address. To do this, go to the "Accounts" tab in the Mail app's Preferences (on a Mac) or the "Mailboxes" tab (on an iOS device), select the account, and then click/tap "Remove Account".
