How to search mails in gmail by date
There are several ways to search for emails in Gmail by date:
Method 1: Using the "Search" bar
- Log in to your Gmail account.
- Click on the search bar at the top of the page.
- Type
before:
orafter:
followed by the date you're interested in. For example:before:2022/01/01
to find emails sent before January 1st, 2022.after:2022/01/01
to find emails sent after January 1st, 2022.
- Press Enter to execute the search.
Method 2: Using the "Date" filter
- Log in to your Gmail account.
- Click on the "More" menu at the top of the page.
- Select "Filters and Blocked Addresses".
- Click on "Create a new filter".
- In the "From" field, enter

(this will match all emails). - In the "Has the words" field, enter
date:
followed by the date you're interested in. For example:date:2022/01/01
to find emails sent on January 1st, 2022.
- Click "Create filter".
- Choose the action you want to take with the filtered emails (e.g., apply the label "Date: 2022/01/01").

- Log in to your Gmail account.
- Use the search operator

to find emails in your inbox sent on January 1st, 2022.search:all date:2022/01/01
to find all emails sent on January 1st, 2022.
Tips:
- You can use the
before:

operators together to find emails within a specific date range. For example:before:2022/01/01 after:2021/12/31
to find emails sent between December 31st, 2021, and January 1st, 2022. - You can also use the
