How to select various mails in outlook
In Outlook, you can select multiple emails in various ways:
Method 1: Using the Ctrl key
- Open your Outlook inbox and select the first email you want to select.
- Hold down the Ctrl key on your keyboard.
- Click on each additional email you want to select. Each email will be highlighted in blue as you select it.
Method 2: Using the Shift key
- Open your Outlook inbox and select the first email you want to select.
- Hold down the Shift key on your keyboard.
- Click on the last email you want to select. All emails between the first and last selected emails will be highlighted.
Method 3: Using the Checkboxes
- Open your Outlook inbox and click on the "View" tab in the ribbon.
- Click on the "View Settings" button.
- In the "View Settings" dialog box, click on the "Other Settings" button.
- Check the box next to "Show checkboxes in the reading pane".
- Now, when you open an email, you'll see a checkbox in the top-right corner of the reading pane.
- Click on the checkbox to select the email.
- You can select multiple emails by checking the boxes next to each email.
Method 4: Using the "Select All" button
- Open your Outlook inbox and click on the "Home" tab in the ribbon.
- Click on the "Select All" button in the "Move" group.
- All emails in the current view will be selected.
Method 5: Using the "Ctrl+A" shortcut
- Open your Outlook inbox and press the "Ctrl+A" keys on your keyboard.
- All emails in the current view will be selected.
Once you've selected multiple emails, you can perform actions on them, such as:
- Move them to a different folder
- Delete them
- Mark them as read or unread
- Flag them for follow-up
- Send them to a meeting or appointment
