How to send future mail in outlook
Sending future mail in Outlook allows you to schedule an email to be sent at a later date and time. Here's how to do it:
Method 1: Using the "Delay Delivery" feature
- Compose a new email as you normally would.
- Click on the "Options" button in the "Tags" group of the "Home" tab.
- Click on "Delay Delivery" in the "More Options" section.
- In the "Delay Delivery" dialog box, select the date and time you want the email to be sent.
- Click "OK" to save the changes.
Method 2: Using the "Send Later" feature (Outlook 2013 and later)
- Compose a new email as you normally would.
- Click on the "Send" button in the "Tags" group of the "Home" tab.
- In the "Send" dialog box, click on the "Send Later" button.
- In the "Send Later" dialog box, select the date and time you want the email to be sent.
- Click "OK" to save the changes.
Method 3: Using the "Rules" feature
- Go to the "File" menu and select "Manage Rules & Alerts".
- Click on "New Rule" and select "Start from a blank rule".
- Choose "Move messages from someone to a folder" and click "Next".
- In the "Step 1" section, select "Delay delivery by a number of minutes" and specify the number of minutes you want to delay the email.
- Click "Next" and then "Finish" to save the rule.
Tips:
- When you schedule an email to be sent in the future, it will be stored in your Outbox until the scheduled send time.
- If you need to cancel a scheduled email, you can do so by going to the "Sent Items" folder and right-clicking on the email, then selecting "Delete".
- You can also use third-party add-ins, such as Sanebox or Boomerang, to schedule emails in Outlook.
