Inbox for gmail desktop
Here is the Gmail inbox layout for the Gmail desktop version:
Header
- Gmail logo
- Search bar
- Navigation menu (with options like Inbox, Sent, Drafts, etc.)
Inbox
- List of emails, with the following columns:
- From: The sender's name and email address
- Subject: The subject line of the email
- Date: The date the email was sent
- Priority: A small icon indicating the email's priority level (e.g. high, low, none)
- Each email is represented by a row in the list, with the above columns displayed in a compact format
Email preview
- When you hover over an email in the list, a preview of the email is displayed below the list, showing:
- The email's subject line
- A brief summary of the email's content
- The sender's name and email address
Actions
- Below the email list, you'll see a row of actions you can take on your emails, including:
- Mark as read/unread
- Star/label
- Reply/forward
- Delete
- Archive
Filters and labels
- On the right-hand side of the screen, you'll see a section for filters and labels, which allows you to:
- Create new filters and labels
- Manage existing filters and labels
- Apply filters and labels to your emails
Chat and compose
- At the bottom of the screen, you'll see a chat window and a compose button, which allows you to:
- Start a new conversation with someone
- Compose a new email
