Ismail ben nasser

Ismail bin Ali Al Khalifa, also known as Ismail bin Nasser, was the Emir of Bahrain from 1869 to 1892. He was a member of the Al Khalifa dynasty, which has ruled Bahrain since the 18th century.

Ismail bin Nasser was born in 1835 and was the son of Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, who was the Emir of Bahrain from 1834 to 1869. Ismail was educated in the traditional Islamic sciences and was known for his piety and fairness.

Ismail bin Nasser ascended to the throne in 1869 after the death of his father. During his reign, he focused on modernizing Bahrain's infrastructure and economy. He built roads, schools, and hospitals, and encouraged trade and commerce. He also established a council of advisors to help him govern the country.

Ismail bin Nasser was also known for his efforts to promote Islamic education and culture in Bahrain. He built several mosques and madrasas, and encouraged the study of Islamic sciences.

Ismail bin Nasser died in 1892 and was succeeded by his son, Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, who became the Emir of Bahrain.
