Live mail gmail
You're looking to set up a live mail account with Gmail!
To set up a live mail account with Gmail, you'll need to follow these steps:
Step 1: Create a Gmail account
If you don't already have a Gmail account, create one by going to the Gmail sign-up page and following the prompts.
Step 2: Enable IMAP
To set up live mail with Gmail, you'll need to enable IMAP (Internet Message Access Protocol) on your Gmail account. To do this:
- Log in to your Gmail account.
- Click on the gear icon in the upper right corner and select "See all settings."
- Scroll down to the "Forwarding and POP/IMAP" tab.
- Select the "Enable IMAP" radio button.
- Click "Save Changes."
Step 3: Set up live mail
Now that IMAP is enabled, you can set up live mail with Gmail:
- Open Live Mail and click on "File" > "Add account."
- Select "Manual setup or additional server types" and click "Next."
- Select "Internet Email" and click "Next."
- Enter the following settings:
- Your name: Your name as you want it to appear in emails.
- Email address: Your Gmail address.
- Password: Your Gmail password.
- Server: imap.gmail.com
- Port: 993
- Require logon using Secure Password Authentication (SPA): unchecked
- Use a secure connection (SSL): checked
- Click "Next" and then "Finish."
Step 4: Configure live mail
Once you've set up your account, you'll need to configure Live Mail to work with Gmail:
- Click on "Tools" > "Accounts" and select your Gmail account.
- Click on the "More Settings" button and select the "Outgoing Server" tab.
- Enter the following settings:
- Outgoing mail server: smtp.gmail.com
- Port: 587
- Require logon using Secure Password Authentication (SPA): unchecked
- Use a secure connection (TLS): checked
- Click "OK" to save your changes.
That's it! You should now be able to use Live Mail with your Gmail account.
