Live mail outlook settings
Here are the steps to set up Live Mail with Outlook:
Step 1: Create a new Outlook profile
- Open Outlook and go to File > Add Account.
- Click on "Manual setup or additional server types" and then click "Next".
- Select "Internet Email" and click "Next".
- Enter your name and email address, and then click "Next".
Step 2: Enter your Live Mail settings
- In the "Server Information" section, enter the following settings:
- Server type: POP3
- Server: outlook.live.com
- Port: 995
- Use SSL to connect: Yes
- In the "Logon Information" section, enter your Live Mail username and password.
- Click "Next" to continue.
Step 3: Set up your account
- Outlook will attempt to connect to your Live Mail account. If successful, you will see a confirmation message.
- Click "Finish" to complete the setup process.
Step 4: Configure your account settings
- Go to File > Account Settings > Account Settings.
- Select your Live Mail account and click "Change".
- In the "Account Settings" window, you can configure additional settings such as:
- Send and receive email every [X] minutes
- Send and receive email every [X] hours
- Use a different port for sending and receiving email
- Click "OK" to save your changes.
Additional tips
- Make sure you have the latest version of Outlook installed.
- If you are using a firewall or antivirus software, you may need to configure it to allow Outlook to connect to the internet.
- If you are having trouble connecting to your Live Mail account, try restarting Outlook or checking your internet connection.
