Msn alerts to email accounts

The nostalgia!

MSN Alerts was a feature that allowed users to receive notifications and alerts from their MSN Messenger contacts directly to their email accounts. Here's how it worked:

  1. You would set up an MSN Alert in your MSN Messenger account, specifying the contact(s) you wanted to receive notifications from and the type of alerts you wanted to receive (e.g., when someone was online, when someone sent you a message, etc.).
  2. The MSN Alert would then send a notification to your designated email address whenever the specified event occurred.

To set up MSN Alerts, you would need to:

  1. Log in to your MSN Messenger account.
  2. Click on the "Tools" menu and select "Options."
  3. Click on the "Alerts" tab.
  4. Click on the "Add Alert" button.
  5. Enter the email address you want to receive the alerts at.
  6. Choose the type of alert you want to receive (e.g., "When someone is online," "When someone sends me a message," etc.).
  7. Click "OK" to save the alert.

Once set up, you would receive notifications from your MSN Messenger contacts in your email inbox. These notifications would typically include the contact's name, the type of alert, and a link to view the original message or conversation in MSN Messenger.

MSN Alerts were a convenient way to stay connected with your friends and contacts, even when you weren't actively using MSN Messenger. However, with the rise of newer messaging platforms and the decline of MSN Messenger, MSN Alerts are no longer supported.
