The classic "Out of Office" autoresponder!
To set up an automatic reply on your Microsoft account (MSN) email, follow these steps:
Method 1: Using the Outlook Web App
- Sign in to your Outlook account at outlook.com.
- Click on the gear icon () in the top right corner and select "View all Outlook settings."
- Scroll down to the "Mail" section and click on "Automatic replies."
- Toggle the switch to "On" to enable automatic replies.
- Enter your reply message in the text box. You can use plain text or HTML formatting.
- Set the start and end dates for the autoresponder, if desired.
- Click "Save" to save your changes.
Method 2: Using the Outlook Mobile App
- Open the Outlook mobile app on your device.
- Tap on the three horizontal lines () in the top left corner to access the menu.
- Tap on "Settings" and then "Mail."
- Scroll down to the "Automatic replies" section and toggle the switch to "On."
- Enter your reply message in the text box. You can use plain text or HTML formatting.
- Set the start and end dates for the autoresponder, if desired.
- Tap "Save" to save your changes.
Method 3: Using the Outlook Desktop App
- Open the Outlook desktop app on your computer.
- Click on the "File" menu and select "Automatic Replies."
- Toggle the switch to "On" to enable automatic replies.
- Enter your reply message in the text box. You can use plain text or HTML formatting.
- Set the start and end dates for the autoresponder, if desired.
- Click "OK" to save your changes.
Once you've set up your automatic reply, it will send an email to anyone who sends you a message during the specified time period.
