New postal rates 2010 royal mail

Here are the new postal rates for Royal Mail in the UK, effective from January 4, 2010:

Letters

• 1st Class Mail (up to 100g):
  • Standard letter: 41p (previously 39p)
  • Large letter: 54p (previously 49p)
• 2nd Class Mail (up to 100g):
  • Standard letter: 28p (previously 26p)
  • Large letter: 39p (previously 34p)

Parcels

• Small parcel (up to 2kg):
  • 1st Class Mail: £2.90 (previously £2.60)
  • 2nd Class Mail: £2.20 (previously £1.90)
• Medium parcel (2-10kg):
  • 1st Class Mail: £4.20 (previously £3.80)
  • 2nd Class Mail: £3.30 (previously £2.90)
• Large parcel (10-20kg):
  • 1st Class Mail: £6.20 (previously £5.60)
  • 2nd Class Mail: £4.90 (previously £4.30)

Special Services

• Signed For 1st Class Mail: £2.55 (previously £2.35)
• Signed For 2nd Class Mail: £2.15 (previously £1.95)
• Special Delivery Guaranteed: £5.45 (previously £4.95)
• Special Delivery Next Day: £6.95 (previously £6.45)

International Mail

• Airmail letters (up to 20g):
  • Europe: 55p (previously 45p)
  • Rest of the world: 65p (previously 55p)
• Airmail parcels (up to 2kg):
  • Europe: £3.20 (previously £2.80)
  • Rest of the world: £4.20 (previously £3.60)
