Report email scams to ftc

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) is a great place to report email scams. Here's how you can do it:

Method 1: Report to the FTC's Online Complaint Assistant

  1. Go to the FTC's website at www.ftc.gov.
  2. Click on "File a Complaint" at the top of the page.
  3. Fill out the online complaint form, which includes:
    • Your name and contact information (optional)
    • A description of the scam you received (including the email address and any attachments)
    • The date you received the email
    • Any other relevant details
  4. Click "Submit" to send your complaint to the FTC.

Method 2: Report to the FTC's Phone or Mail

  1. Call the FTC's Consumer Response Center at 1-877-FTC-HELP (1-877-382-4357).
  2. Tell the representative about the email scam you received and provide the same information as above.
