Shentel email setup instructions

Here are the email setup instructions for Shentel:

Outlook

1. Open Outlook and go to the "File" menu.
2. Click on "Add Account" and then select "Manual setup or additional server types".
3. Choose "POP or IMAP" and click "Next".
4. Enter the following information:
   • Your Name: Your name as you want it to appear in the "From" field.
   • Email Address: Your Shentel email address (e.g. [yourname]@shentel.net).
   • Account Type: POP3 or IMAP.
   • Incoming Mail Server: mail.shentel.net.
   • Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): mail.shentel.net.
   • User Name: Your Shentel email address (e.g. [yourname]@shentel.net).
   • Password: Your Shentel email password.
5. Click "Next" and then "Finish".

iPhone/iPad

1. Go to the "Settings" app on your iPhone or iPad.
2. Tap on "Mail, Contacts, Calendars".
3. Tap on "Add Account".
4. Select "Other" and then "Add Mail Account".
5. Enter the following information:
   • Name: Your name as you want it to appear in the "From" field.
   • Email Address: Your Shentel email address (e.g. [yourname]@shentel.net).
   • Password: Your Shentel email password.
   • Description: A name for your account (e.g. "Shentel Email").
6. Tap "Next" and then "Save".
7. Tap on "IMAP" and enter the following information:
   • Host Name: mail.shentel.net.
   • User Name: Your Shentel email address (e.g. [yourname]@shentel.net).
   • Password: Your Shentel email password.
8. Tap "Next" and then "Save".

Android

1. Go to the "Settings" app on your Android device.
2. Tap on "Accounts" or "Accounts & sync".
3. Tap on "Add account".
4. Select "Email" and then "Other".
5. Enter the following information:
   • Name: Your name as you want it to appear in the "From" field.
   • Email Address: Your Shentel email address (e.g. [yourname]@shentel.net).
   • Password: Your Shentel email password.
   • Description: A name for your account (e.g. "Shentel Email").
6. Tap "Next" and then "Sync now".
7. Tap on "IMAP" and enter the following information:
   • Host Name: mail.shentel.net.
   • User Name: Your Shentel email address (e.g. [yourname]@shentel.net).
   • Password: Your Shentel email password.
8. Tap "Next" and then "Sync now".

Windows Live Mail

1. Open Windows Live Mail and go to the "File" menu.
2. Click on "Add Account" and then select "Email Account".
3. Enter the following information:
   • Your Name: Your name as you want it to appear in the "From" field.
   • Email Address: Your Shentel email address (e.g. [yourname]@shentel.net).
   • Password: Your Shentel email password.
   • Account Type: POP3 or IMAP.
   • Incoming Mail Server: mail.shentel.net.
   • Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): mail.shentel.net.
4. Click "Next" and then "Finish".

Thunderbird

1. Open Thunderbird and go to the "File" menu.
2. Click on "New" and then "Email Account".
3. Enter the following information:
   • Your Name: Your name as you want it to appear in the "From" field.
   • Email Address: Your Shentel email address (e.g. [yourname]@shentel.net).
   • Password: Your Shentel email password.
   • Account Type: POP3 or IMAP.
   • Incoming Mail Server: mail.shentel.net.
   • Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): mail.shentel.net.
4. Click "Next" and then "Finish".

Note: Make sure to replace [yourname] with your actual Shentel email address.
