In Windows Live Mail, a storage folder is a location on your computer where your email messages are stored. Here's how to manage storage folders in Windows Live Mail:
Viewing Storage Folders:
- Open Windows Live Mail.
- Click on the "File" menu and select "Account Settings".
- In the "Account Settings" window, click on the "Data Files" tab.
- You will see a list of storage folders associated with your email account. Each folder represents a separate data file that stores your email messages.
Creating a New Storage Folder:
- Follow the same steps as above to open the "Data Files" tab.
- Click on the "New" button to create a new storage folder.
- Enter a name for the new folder and select a location on your computer where you want to store the folder.
- Click "OK" to create the new folder.
Moving a Storage Folder:
- Follow the same steps as above to open the "Data Files" tab.
- Select the storage folder you want to move by checking the box next to it.
- Click on the "Move" button and select a new location on your computer where you want to move the folder.
- Click "OK" to move the folder.
Deleting a Storage Folder:
- Follow the same steps as above to open the "Data Files" tab.
- Select the storage folder you want to delete by checking the box next to it.
- Click on the "Delete" button.
- Confirm that you want to delete the folder by clicking "OK".
Tips:
- You can have multiple storage folders associated with your email account, which can be useful if you want to keep your email messages organized by category or project.
- If you move a storage folder to a new location, you will need to update the folder path in your email account settings.
- If you delete a storage folder, you will lose access to all the email messages stored in that folder.
