Sweep outlook email

Sweeping emails in Outlook refers to the process of automatically moving or deleting multiple emails that match specific criteria, such as a specific sender, subject, or date range. Here's how to sweep emails in Outlook:

Method 1: Using the "Sweep" feature

  1. Open Outlook and go to the "Inbox" folder.
  2. Select the first email that you want to sweep.
  3. Right-click on the selected email and choose "Sweep" from the context menu.
  4. In the "Sweep" dialog box, select the criteria you want to use to identify the emails you want to sweep. You can choose from the following options:
    • "From" (sender's email address)
    • "Subject" (email subject)
    • "Has attachment" (emails with attachments)
    • "Is older than" (emails older than a specific date)
    • "Is newer than" (emails newer than a specific date)
  5. Enter the specific criteria you want to use, such as a sender's email address or a specific subject.
  6. Choose the action you want to take for the swept emails, such as "Move to folder" or "Delete".
  7. Click "OK" to start the sweep.

Method 2: Using a rule

  1. Open Outlook and go to the "Home" tab in the ribbon.
  2. Click on the "Rules" button in the "Move" group.
  3. Click on "Manage Rules & Alerts" in the drop-down menu.
  4. Click on "New Rule" and select "Start from a blank rule".
  5. Choose the criteria you want to use to identify the emails you want to sweep, such as a specific sender or subject.
