Undo sent mail gmail

The frustration of accidentally sending an email! Don't worry, Gmail has a feature that allows you to undo sent emails within a short period of time. Here's how to do it:

Method 1: Undo Send (Gmail's built-in feature)

  1. Make sure you have the "Undo Send" feature enabled in your Gmail settings. To do this, go to Settings (gear icon) > General > Undo Send, and select the time period you want to be able to undo sent emails (5, 10, 15, or 30 seconds).
  2. After sending an email, you'll see a "Undo" link at the top of the page. Click on it within the specified time period to recall the email.

Method 2: Use the "Undo Send" browser extension

If you don't have the "Undo Send" feature enabled or want more control over your sent emails, you can use a browser extension like "Undo Send" or "Rescue My Mail". These extensions can undo sent emails even after the built-in feature's time period has expired.

Method 3: Use Gmail's "Report Phishing" feature (as a last resort)

If you've sent an email and want to recall it, but the "Undo Send" feature is no longer available, you can try using Gmail's "Report Phishing" feature. This method is not foolproof, but it might help you recover your email.

  1. Go to the Sent folder and find the email you want to recall.
  2. Click on the three vertical dots next to the email and select "Report Phishing".
  3. Gmail will ask you to confirm that you want to report the email as phishing. Click "Report Phishing" again.
  4. If the email is not marked as spam, you might be able to recover it by clicking on the "Not spam" button.

Remember that these methods are not foolproof, and there's always a risk that the recipient may have already seen or acted on your email. Always double-check your emails before sending them to avoid any potential issues.
