Usps hold mail request online
You can request to hold your mail online through the United States Postal Service (USPS) website. Here's how:
- Go to the USPS website at usps.com.
- Click on "Hold Mail" under the "Mail & Ship" tab.
- Sign in to your USPS account or create one if you don't have one already.
- Enter your name, address, and the dates you'd like to hold your mail (up to 30 days).
- Choose the reason for holding your mail (e.g., vacation, moving, etc.).
- Review and confirm your request.
- You'll receive a confirmation email with a reference number.
Alternatively, you can also request to hold your mail by:
- Calling the USPS Customer Service number at 1-800-275-8777.
- Visiting your local post office in person.
- Filling out a Hold Mail Request form (PS Form 3914) and submitting it to your local post office.
Note that you'll need to provide a valid reason for holding your mail, and you can only hold your mail for up to 30 days. If you need to hold your mail for a longer period, you'll need to contact your local post office to make arrangements.
It's also important to note that holding your mail doesn't mean that it will be held at your local post office. Instead, it will be held at a central location, and you'll need to pick it up when you return.
