When do royal mail stop delivering on saturdays

Royal Mail, the UK's postal service, used to deliver mail on Saturdays, but in 2012, they announced that they would be stopping Saturday deliveries for most of their services.

The changes were implemented in phases, and by 2019, most of Royal Mail's services, including First Class and Second Class mail, were no longer delivered on Saturdays.

However, there are some exceptions:

  1. Special Delivery Guaranteed: This service still delivers on Saturdays, as it is a guaranteed next-day delivery service.
  2. Royal Mail Tracked 24: This service also delivers on Saturdays, as it is a tracked next-day delivery service.
  3. Parcelforce: Parcelforce, a subsidiary of Royal Mail, still delivers on Saturdays for their parcel services.

For all other services, including First Class and Second Class mail, deliveries are now typically made on weekdays (Monday to Friday).

It's worth noting that some businesses, such as banks and building societies, may still receive mail on Saturdays, but this is not a standard service offered by Royal Mail.

If you're unsure about the delivery schedule for a specific item, you can always check with the sender or contact Royal Mail directly for more information.
