Where does gmail archive mail go

When you archive an email in Gmail, it doesn't actually delete the email, but rather moves it out of your inbox and into a special folder called "All Mail" (or "Archived" in some cases).

Here's what happens when you archive an email:

1. The email is removed from your inbox and no longer appears in the inbox view.
2. The email is moved to the "All Mail" folder, which is a default label in Gmail that contains all your emails, including archived ones.
3. The email is still stored in your Gmail account, but it's no longer visible in your inbox or in the "Inbox" label.
4. You can still search for and find the archived email using Gmail's search function.
5. You can also restore the archived email to your inbox by clicking on the "Inbox" label and then checking the box next to the email to move it back to your inbox.

It's worth noting that archiving an email doesn't delete the email from your Gmail account, but it does remove it from your inbox and makes it harder to find. If you want to permanently delete an email, you'll need to use the "Delete" button or the "Empty Trash" feature in Gmail settings.
