Where to mail hawaii nonresident income tax return
The Hawaii nonresident income tax return, Form N-11, is due on April 15th of each year. You can mail it to the following address:
Hawaii Department of Taxation Attn: Nonresident Income Tax PO Box 2590 Honolulu, HI 96840-2590
Make sure to sign and date the return, and include all required attachments and payments. You can also file electronically through the Hawaii Department of Taxation's website or through a tax preparation software.
If you are unable to file by the deadline, you can request an extension by submitting Form N-11-X, Application for Extension of Time to File Nonresident Income Tax Return, along with a payment of any estimated tax due. The extension will give you an additional 6 months to file your return.
It's also important to note that you may need to file additional forms or schedules depending on your specific situation, such as:
- Form N-11-ES, Estimated Nonresident Income Tax Payment Voucher, if you are making estimated tax payments throughout the year.
- Form N-11-PT, Nonresident Income Tax Payment Voucher, if you are making a payment with your return.
- Form N-11-EX, Nonresident Income Tax Exemption Certificate, if you are claiming an exemption from withholding.
You can find more information and forms on the Hawaii Department of Taxation's website.
