Where to mail your t1 return

In the United States, you can mail your Form 1040, also known as the Individual Income Tax Return, to the following addresses:

For Paper Filers:

• If you live in an area served by the United States Postal Service (USPS):
  • Mail your return to the address listed below for your state:
    • Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas: Internal Revenue Service, P.O. Box 12192, Austin, TX 78711-2192
    • Arkansas, Kentucky, Missouri, North Carolina, Oklahoma, and Tennessee: Internal Revenue Service, P.O. Box 12192, Memphis, TN 38188-1192

For Electronic Filers:

• You can e-file your return through tax preparation software or the IRS Free File program. The IRS will process your return electronically, and you will receive a confirmation email once it's been accepted.

• Make sure to sign and date your return before mailing it.
• Use the correct postage and ensure your return is postmarked by the filing deadline (usually April 15th).
• Keep a copy of your return and supporting documents for your records.
