Windows 11 mail view settings

Windows 11 Mail app provides various settings to customize the view and layout of your emails. Here are some of the key settings:

View Settings:

  1. Layout: You can switch between different layouts, such as:
    • Conversations: Groups related emails together.
    • List: Displays emails in a list format.
    • Preview: Shows a preview of the email content.
  2. Sort: Sort emails by:
    • Date: Newest or oldest.
    • From: Alphabetical order by sender.
    • Subject: Alphabetical order by subject.
    • Priority: High to low priority.
  3. Filter: Apply filters to show or hide specific emails, such as:
    • Unread: Only show unread emails.
    • Flagged: Only show flagged emails.
    • Important: Only show important emails.
  4. Columns: Customize the columns displayed in the email list, such as:
    • From: Sender's name and email address.
    • Subject: Email subject.
    • Date: Email date and time.
    • Size: Email size.

Other Settings:

  1. Compact mode: Toggle on to display more emails on the screen.
  2. Show attachments: Toggle on to display attachments in the email list.
  3. Show read receipts: Toggle on to request read receipts for sent emails.
  4. Show delivery reports: Toggle on to receive delivery reports for sent emails.
  5. Default font: Choose a default font for emails.
  6. Default font size: Choose a default font size for emails.
  7. Show HTML emails: Toggle on to display HTML emails.
  8. Show plain text emails: Toggle on to display plain text emails.

To access these settings, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Mail app on your Windows 11 device.
  2. Click on the gear icon () in the top right corner of the app.
  3. Select View settings from the dropdown menu.
  4. Customize the settings as desired.
