Windows live mail setting

Here are the steps to set up Windows Live Mail:

Step 1: Launch Windows Live Mail

• Go to Start > All Programs > Windows Live > Windows Live Mail

Step 2: Create a new email account

• Click on "Email" in the top menu bar and select "Add an email account"
• Enter your email address and password
• Click "Next"

Step 3: Choose your email provider

• Select "Manual setup or additional server types"
• Choose your email provider from the list (e.g. Outlook.com, Gmail, Yahoo, etc.)
• Click "Next"

Step 4: Enter your email settings

• Enter the following settings:
  • Incoming mail server: imap.gmail.com (or your email provider's IMAP server)
  • Outgoing mail server: smtp.gmail.com (or your email provider's SMTP server)
  • User name: your email address
  • Password: your email password
  • Port: 993 (or your email provider's recommended port)
  • SSL/TLS: Yes
• Click "Next"

Step 5: Set up your account

• Windows Live Mail will try to connect to your email account
• If successful, you will see a confirmation message
• Click "Finish" to complete the setup process

Additional settings

• You can also set up additional settings, such as:
  • Account name: Enter a name for your email account
  • Display name: Enter a name that will appear in the "From" field of your emails
  • Signature: Enter a signature that will be added to the end of your emails
  • Junk email settings: Choose how you want to handle junk emails

Troubleshooting tips

• If you encounter any issues during the setup process, try the following:
  • Check your email provider's settings and make sure they match the settings in Windows Live Mail
  • Make sure your email account is active and not blocked
  • Try restarting Windows Live Mail and setting up your account again
