Windows mail blind carbon copy

A blast from the past!

In Windows Mail (also known as Windows Live Mail), you can add a blind carbon copy (BCC) to an email by following these steps:

  1. Compose a new email or reply to an existing one.
  2. In the "To" field, enter the email addresses of the recipients you want to include in the "To" field.
  3. In the "CC" field, enter the email addresses of the recipients you want to include in the "CC" field. This will add them to the email, but their email addresses will be visible to everyone else on the email.
  4. To add a blind carbon copy, click on the "BCC" field at the bottom of the "To" and "CC" fields.
  5. Enter the email addresses of the recipients you want to include in the BCC field. These email addresses will not be visible to anyone else on the email.
  6. Click "Send" to send the email.

Note that in Windows Mail, the BCC field is not visible by default. You need to click on the "To" or "CC" field to reveal the BCC field.

Alternatively, you can also use the keyboard shortcut "Ctrl + Shift + B" to toggle the BCC field on and off.

It's worth noting that BCC is not a standard feature in modern email clients, and it's generally considered a security risk to use it. It's recommended to use the "To" and "CC" fields instead, and to only include email addresses that you intend to share with the recipients.
