Windows messenger verify email address

A blast from the past!

Windows Messenger was a popular instant messaging service developed by Microsoft, but it was discontinued in 2009. However, I can still help you with verifying an email address in Windows Messenger, just for nostalgic purposes.

To verify an email address in Windows Messenger:

  1. Open Windows Messenger on your Windows XP or Windows Server 2003 machine.
  2. Click on the "Tools" menu and select "Options."
  3. In the "Options" window, click on the "Email" tab.
  4. Click on the "Verify Email Address" button.
  5. Enter the email address you want to verify in the "Email Address" field.
  6. Click "OK" to verify the email address.

If the email address is valid, Windows Messenger will send a verification email to the address. You'll need to open the email and click on the verification link to confirm the email address.

Note that this process only works if you have a valid email address associated with your Windows Messenger account. If you don't have an email address associated with your account, you won't be able to verify it.

Also, keep in mind that Windows Messenger is no longer supported by Microsoft, and it's not recommended to use it for secure communication. You may want to consider using a more modern and secure instant messaging service, such as Microsoft Teams or Skype.
