Yahoo Alerts is a feature that allows you to receive email notifications when specific events or conditions occur. Here's how to set up and manage Yahoo Alerts:
Setting up Yahoo Alerts:
- Log in to your Yahoo account.
- Click on the "Settings" icon () in the top right corner of the page.
- Select "More Settings" from the dropdown menu.
- Click on "Alerts" from the left-hand menu.
- Click on "Create a new alert" and enter the following information:
- Alert name: Give your alert a name to help you identify it later.
- Search query: Enter the keywords or phrases you want to track. You can use quotes to search for exact phrases.
- Frequency: Choose how often you want to receive alerts: "As it happens" (immediate), "Hourly", "Daily", or "Weekly".
- Location: Enter a location to receive alerts for specific geographic areas.
- Language: Choose the language you want to receive alerts in.
- Click "Create alert" to save your settings.
Managing Yahoo Alerts:
- To view your alerts, go to the "Alerts" page by clicking on the "Settings" icon () and selecting "More Settings" > "Alerts".
- You can edit or delete an alert by clicking on the three dots next to the alert name and selecting "Edit" or "Delete".
- To pause or resume an alert, click on the toggle button next to the alert name.
- You can also view your alert history by clicking on the "Alert history" tab.
Tips and limitations:
- Yahoo Alerts are only available for Yahoo Mail users.
- You can create up to 100 alerts per account.
- Alerts are only sent to the email address associated with your Yahoo account.
- Yahoo Alerts may not work for all types of searches or keywords.
- Alerts may be delayed or not sent if the search query is too broad or too specific.
