A Yale University email account!
To set up a Yale University email account (yale.edu) on Microsoft Outlook 365, follow these steps:
Step 1: Sign in to Yale's email portal
- Go to mail.yale.edu and sign in with your Yale NetID and password.
- Click on the "Settings" icon (represented by a gear) in the top right corner of the page.
- Select "View all Outlook settings" from the dropdown menu.
Step 2: Set up Outlook 365
- Click on the "Mail" tab and then click on "Account settings".
- Click on "Add account" and select "Manual setup or additional server types".
- Select "Microsoft Exchange" and enter the following settings:
- User Information:
- Your Name: Your full name
- Email Address: Your Yale email address (e.g., [email protected])
- Server Information:
- Server: outlook.office365.com
- Port: 443
- Authentication:
- Use the same settings as your Yale email account (NetID and password)
- User Information:
- Click "Next" and then "Finish" to complete the setup process.
Step 3: Configure Outlook 365
- Open Microsoft Outlook 365 and sign in with your Yale email account credentials.
- Click on the "File" menu and select "Account Settings".
- Click on the "Account" tab and select your Yale email account.
- Click on the "More Settings" button and select the "Advanced" tab.
- Under "Server settings", make sure the following settings are enabled:
- Use the following URL for the AutoDiscover service: outlook.office365.com
- Use the following URL for the Exchange Web Services: outlook.office365.com
- Click "OK" to save your changes.
That's it! Your Yale University email account (yale.edu) should now be set up on Microsoft Outlook 365.
