Gmail to read gmail

You want to know how to read Gmail using Gmail itself!

Gmail has a feature called "Read-only mode" that allows you to view your emails without being able to reply, forward, or delete them. This can be useful if you want to quickly scan through your emails without accidentally deleting or modifying them.

To enable Read-only mode in Gmail:

  1. Log in to your Gmail account.
  2. Click on the gear icon in the upper right corner of the page.
  3. Select "See all settings" from the dropdown menu.
  4. Scroll down to the "General" tab.
  5. Look for the "Read-only mode" option and toggle it on.
  6. Click "Save Changes" at the bottom of the page.

Once you've enabled Read-only mode, you'll see a message at the top of the page indicating that you're in Read-only mode. You won't be able to reply, forward, or delete emails, but you can still view and search through your emails.

Alternatively, you can also use the "View only" button in the top right corner of the email list to toggle Read-only mode on and off for individual emails.
