How to add icloud email to apple mail
To add an iCloud email account to Apple Mail on your Mac or PC, follow these steps:
On a Mac:
- Open Apple Mail on your Mac.
- Go to Mail > Preferences > Accounts.
- Click the + button at the bottom left corner of the window.
- Select Other Mail Account from the dropdown menu.
- Enter your iCloud email address and password in the required fields.
- Click Continue.
- Select IMAP as the account type.
- Enter the following settings:
- Incoming Mail Server: imap.mail.me.com
- Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.mail.me.com
- User Name: your iCloud email address
- Password: your iCloud email password
- Click Create.
On a PC:
- Open Apple Mail on your PC.
- Go to File > Add Account.
- Select Other Account Type from the dropdown menu.
- Enter your iCloud email address and password in the required fields.
- Click Next.
- Select IMAP as the account type.
- Enter the following settings:
- Incoming Mail Server: imap.mail.me.com
- Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.mail.me.com
- User Name: your iCloud email address
- Password: your iCloud email password
- Click Finish.
Verify your account settings:
- Go to Mail > Preferences > Accounts (on a Mac) or File > Account Settings (on a PC).
- Select your iCloud email account from the list of accounts.
- Click the Edit button next to Account Information.
- Verify that the account settings are correct, including the incoming and outgoing mail servers, user name, and password.
- Click OK to save your changes.
