How to show attachments as icons in mac mail

By default, Mac Mail displays attachments as a list of files, but you can change this to show them as icons. Here's how:

  1. Open Mac Mail and go to Mail > Preferences (or use the keyboard shortcut Cmd +,).
  2. In the Preferences window, click on the General tab.
  3. Uncheck the box next to Show attachments as a list.
  4. Check the box next to Show attachments as icons.
  5. Click OK to save your changes.

Alternatively, you can also change this setting for a specific mailbox or account:

  1. Select the mailbox or account you want to modify.
  2. Right-click (or control-click) on the mailbox or account name in the left sidebar.
  3. Select Get Info from the context menu.
  4. In the Get Info window, uncheck the box next to Show attachments as a list.
  5. Check the box next to Show attachments as icons.
  6. Click OK to save your changes.

Once you've made this change, Mac Mail will display attachments as icons instead of a list. You can still click on the icon to view the attachment details and download or open the file as needed.
