How to sort mails in gmail by date
There are a few ways to sort emails in Gmail by date:
Method 1: Using the "Date" filter
- Log in to your Gmail account.
- Click on the "Inbox" tab.
- Click on the "Filters and Blocked Addresses" link at the top of the page.
- Click on the "Create a new filter" button.
- In the "From" field, enter
@
(this will apply the filter to all emails). - In the "Has the words" field, enter
date
. - Click on the "Create filter" button.
- In the "Apply the label" dropdown menu, select "Date".
- Click on the "Apply" button.
This will apply a filter to all emails in your inbox, sorting them by date.
Method 2: Using the "Date" label
- Log in to your Gmail account.
- Click on the "Inbox" tab.
- Click on the "Labels" link at the top of the page.
- Click on the "New label" button.
- Enter
Date
as the label name. - Click on the "Create" button.
- Go back to your inbox and click on the "Date" label at the top of the page.
- Gmail will sort your emails by date.
Method 3: Using the "Sort by" feature
- Log in to your Gmail account.
- Click on the "Inbox" tab.
- Click on the "More" menu at the top of the page.
- Select "Sort by" from the dropdown menu.
- Select "Date" from the list of options.
- Gmail will sort your emails by date.
You can also use keyboard shortcuts to sort your emails by date:
