How to use labels in google mail
Labels in Gmail are a great way to categorize and organize your emails. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to use labels in Gmail:
Creating a Label
- Log in to your Gmail account.
- Click on the gear icon () in the upper right corner of the page.
- Select "See all settings" from the dropdown menu.
- Click on the "Labels" tab.
- Click on the "New label" button.
- Enter a name for your label in the "Label name" field.
- Click on the "Create" button.
Applying a Label to an Email
- Open the email you want to label.
- Click on the three vertical dots () at the top right corner of the email.
- Select "Add label" from the dropdown menu.
- Choose the label you want to apply from the list of available labels.
- Click on the "Apply" button.
Managing Labels
- To view all emails with a specific label, click on the label name in the left sidebar.
- To edit a label, click on the gear icon () and select "See all settings" > "Labels" > "Edit" next to the label name.
- To delete a label, click on the gear icon () and select "See all settings" > "Labels" > "Delete" next to the label name.
