Mail merge gmail threshold

A very specific question!

The Gmail threshold for mail merge is a setting that determines how many emails can be sent in a single batch before Gmail starts to slow down or throttle the sending process.

The default threshold is 500 emails per batch, but this can be adjusted by going to the Gmail settings page and looking for the "Mail merge" section.

Here's how to find and adjust the threshold:

  1. Log in to your Gmail account.
  2. Click on the gear icon in the upper right corner of the page and select "See all settings."
  3. Scroll down to the "General" tab.
  4. Look for the "Mail merge" section.
  5. Click on the "Edit" button next to "Mail merge threshold."
  6. Enter the desired threshold value (e.g., 1000, 2000, etc.).
  7. Click "Save Changes" to apply the new threshold.

Keep in mind that Gmail has a maximum daily sending limit of 2,000 emails per day, regardless of the mail merge threshold. If you need to send more than 2,000 emails, you may need to use a third-party email marketing service or split your email list into smaller batches.

It's also important to note that Gmail's mail merge feature is designed for personal use and is not intended for large-scale email marketing campaigns. If you need to send large volumes of emails, you may want to consider using a dedicated email marketing service provider.
