UTA (University of Texas at Arlington) email setup! Here's a step-by-step guide to help you set up your UTA email account:

Step 1: Activate Your Account

  1. Go to the UTA website (www.uta.edu) and click on "My Maverick" at the top right corner.
  2. Click on "Activate Your Account" and follow the prompts to create your account.
  3. You will receive an email with a verification link to activate your account.

Step 2: Set Up Your Email Account

  1. Log in to your UTA email account using your Maverick ID and password.
  2. Click on the "Settings" icon (represented by a gear icon) in the top right corner of the email page.
  3. Click on "Accounts" and then "Add a new email account".
  4. Select "IMAP" as the account type and enter the following settings:
    • Email address: your UTA email address (e.g., [email protected])
    • Username: your UTA email address (e.g., yourname)
    • Password: your UTA password
    • Server: imap.gmail.com (or imap.uta.edu if you're using the UTA email server)
    • Port: 993
    • SSL/TLS: Enable
  5. Click "Add Account" to save the settings.

Step 3: Set Up Your Email Client

  1. Open your email client (e.g., Microsoft Outlook, Mozilla Thunderbird, or Apple Mail) and go to the "Accounts" or "Settings" section.
  2. Click on "Add Account" or "New Account" and select "IMAP" as the account type.
  3. Enter the same settings as in Step 2:
