Add second gmail account to apple mail

To add a second Gmail account to Apple Mail on your Mac or iOS device, follow these steps:

On a Mac:

1. Open Apple Mail on your Mac.
2. Click on "Mail" in the top menu bar and select "Preferences."
3. Click on the "Accounts" tab.
4. Click the "+" button at the bottom left corner of the window.
5. Select "Other Mail Account" from the dropdown menu.
6. Enter your second Gmail account's email address and password.
7. Click "Continue."
8. Select "IMAP" as the account type.
9. Enter the following settings:
   • Incoming Mail Server: imap.gmail.com
   • Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): smtp.gmail.com
   • User Name: your second Gmail account's email address
   • Password: your second Gmail account's password
10. Click "Create."
11. You should now see your second Gmail account listed in the Accounts tab.

On an iOS device:

1. Open the Settings app on your iOS device.
2. Tap on "Mail, Contacts, Calendars."
3. Tap on "Add Account."
4. Select "Other" from the list of account types.
5. Tap on "Add Mail Account."
6. Enter your second Gmail account's email address and password.
7. Tap "Next."
8. Select "IMAP" as the account type.
9. Enter the following settings:
   • Host Name: imap.gmail.com
   • Username: your second Gmail account's email address
   • Password: your second Gmail account's password
10. Tap "Next."
11. Tap "Save."
12. You should now see your second Gmail account listed in the Mail app.

Note: If you're using 2-Step Verification (2SV) with your second Gmail account, you may need to generate an App Password to use with Apple Mail. To do this, follow these steps:

1. Sign in to your second Gmail account on a computer.
2. Go to the Google Account settings page.
3. Click on "Security" from the left-hand menu.
4. Click on "App passwords."
5. Select "Other (Custom name)" and enter a name for the app password.
6. Click "Generate."
7. Enter the generated app password in the password field when setting up your second Gmail account in Apple Mail.
